Where is the repurposed wood sourced?

The different types of timber that I use in my artworks have been sourced from all over Australia.

I often take long bushwalks in remote places, always searching for organic matter that’s fallen naturally and looking to be transformed into an artwork.

Why do you use repurposed wood?

I like the idea off re using something discarded that would otherwise go unnoticed.

I love to highlight the natural beauty of the wood enhancing its features & bringing it to life.

Its also a great way to reduce the amount of organic matter ending up in landfill.

Organic waste in landfills generates more methane (a potent greenhouse gas) due to anaerobic decomposition. By removing organic matter from landfill, methane emissions are significantly reduced.

Cutting methane emissions is the fastest opportunity we have to immediately slowing the rate of global warming.

Do you use any other repurposed materials in your sculptures?

I use allot of naturally discarded vertebra from a range of different animals.

All of the bases of my sculptures are made from old pieces of machinery or wood offcuts.

These recycled elements are not only saved from landfill but they add a unique charm to each piece so that no two look the same.

Are the sculptures intended for indoor or outdoor use?

Some of the sculptures have been coated with 5 or 6 layers of UV stabilized polyurethane and are very well suited to outdoor conditions.

Most of the smaller pieces are only intended for indoor use, if you have any questions please reach out via email for more information.

Can I donate a piece of wood to you instead of throwing it into landfill?

Yes! If you have an interesting piece of wood looking to be recycled please send me a picture via email and your donations will be considered.

Can I arrange a private viewing in your Sydney Studio?

Yes! You are welcome to view the collection in my Balmain studio, this is by appointment only so please contact me via email to organize a time.

Is the price of shipping included in the cost

Price of shipping will be calculated after checkout and will depend on what suburb & state you are shipping to.

A quote will be issued to you before dispatch and an invoice will be sent once you have agreed to shipping cost.

Is local delivery and pick up available?

Yes! The studio is located in Balmain, NSW and local pick up can easily be arranged.

I can also offer a local drop off service for customers within a 30km radius of Balmain.
